Today was all about the golden wedding celebrations. We woke up and headed off to buy a gift for Werner und Inge Hollermann, a very elegant bouquet flowers wrapped in golden wire.
Amy wore Vanessa's long black dress which was a gift for her to keep. For lack of better shoes, croc pumps completed the outfit! Nick for lack of socks wore ankle socks with his smart attire! Everything adding to the festivities.
The celebrations started at 11:00am will the goal of carrying on until 11:00pm. It was a very heartfelt occasion and was far closer to a actual wedding reception party than an anniversary party.
There were approximately 60 guests in total. Everyone dressed in their Sunday best. A DJ, open bar, loads of exquisite food and a lot of Schnapps!
We left at around 18.30. Later, were introduced by Norbs and Lisbeth to “Shaun the Schaf” (trans. “Shaun the Sheep”). Giggled our heads off and went to bed. Later, we heard the Kestering and Hollerman family arrive at around 23.30 - it must have been a good party!
